ACCS Generic Skills Teaching Day 10.11.16

Learning and Research (L&R) Building at Southmead Hospital, North Bristol NHS Trust

Arrive 08.30 for registration and welcome lecture – at L&R reception and ask for room allocation or look at the screen by reception for course details. We aim to finish and have you away by 4pm.

 

“The day will consist of a short introduction lecture followed by five 1hr workshops focusing on clinical skills required for sign off during ACCS rotation. We will aim to cover specific clinical skills that previous trainees have stated they’ve struggled to cover on their placements, such as DC Cardioversion and External Pacing, Chest pleural aspiration etc. Attendance and successful completion of the day will be confirmed by a certificate including details of the workshops so that your educational supervisor will be able to sign off these skills on your work place based assessment portfolios.

 

Refreshments in morning and afternoon will be included and lunch is also provided.
